If your website uses the Photomosaic wordpress plugin and if you upgrade to WordPress v5.x it will stop working!
Fix for WordPress v5 and the commercial Photomosaic Plugin
Please note I have nothing to do with the author of Photomosaic.
All you need to do is send me with some sort of ‘proof of purchase’ of your photomosaic wordpress plugin product (envato receipt or paypal or anything…).
Just so that I can verify you as a paid for member.
I am offering you the plugin fix for free, as (like you) I use the photomosaic wordpress plugin and the author has stopped offering support or new versions. I have contacted the author but they still have not provided an upgrade or solution to our problem. The fix I have created will only work with Version 5.x of WordPress. (The existing version of course, still works with Version 4.x.
FIX FOR PHOTOMOSAIC WORDPRESS PLUGIN
You do these things at your own risk!
First word or warning – BACK UP YOUR WORDPRESS AND DATABASE! Or at least the plugin folder and DB please.
THIS WILL ONLY WORK WITH WP VERSION 5.X.
I have added comments to the class-photomosaic-public.php file (which is in the public folder if you want to read… but you don’t need to read if you don’t want to).
PROCESS (what you need to do…)
If you want the QUICK and EASY method (having backed up the plugin of course!!)
1. Delete the old photomosaic plugin and folder
2. Install the attached replacement plugin (I will send you)
3. Activate. 🙂
4. Test front end…

If you have any problems:
- Put your old plugin back (restore)
- Let me have access to your WordPress admin install and I can have a look 🙂
Fundamentally it only replaces 2 files so not a big change!
You can’t do any harm – they are small changes and I can easily sort out any issues.
